Enjoy Learning English

Let's learn together!!!

Hi, I'm Christina!

Welcome to my blog—a space created to support English learners from all around the world.

Here, you’ll find clear, simple explanations, practical phrases, and everyday English tips designed to help you speak more naturally and confidently. I focus on effective, learner-centered methods such as Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) and Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), which emphasize real-world communication, meaningful interaction, and active language use. These approaches make learning more engaging and relevant by encouraging you to speak and think in English from day one.

In addition to general English, I also explore English for Specific Purposes (ESP), tailoring content to meet the needs of learners in fields like business, tourism, or academics—so you can gain the language skills that truly matter in your personal or professional life.

Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, this blog is here to guide and inspire you on your language journey.

Teaching Philosophy Statement

Education aims to help individuals become valuable members of the society in which they live. Educated people first learn to respect themselves and others. By this, we mean that a person who does not know how to communicate effectively, maintain appropriate social boundaries, and stay aware of the world around them will struggle to find their place and connect with the right people.

We believe that students learn best from their environment — starting with their parents, the most influential people. Teachers, siblings, peers, and books also play important roles in shaping their knowledge and values.

I believe a teacher’s role is very significant. From my perspective, teachers must be trustworthy, respected, and approachable figures who inspire students to be eager to learn and grow. I think a good teacher should establish a positive and friendly environment. Greeting students with a smile and engaging them in casual conversation helps create a welcoming atmosphere. I think lessons should begin smoothly and naturally so that students feel comfortable and may not notice when the learning starts.

We also recognize that classrooms are rarely homogeneous, and teachers must be prepared to address diverse learners. This means applying different teaching methods and learning styles to meet the unique needs of each student. Speaking about learning styles, it is important to recognize that not all learners are the same, and we must consider their diversity. In our classrooms, we have visual learners, auditory learners, reading learners, and writing learners. This means we must design and incorporate materials that address all these learning preferences.

To help students understand the material better, we can start with visual aids, follow with class discussions, and provide reading and writing activities. By combining these approaches, we create a more inclusive learning environment where every student can engage with the content in a way that suits them best.

Measuring student progress is essential to teaching, as students need to be assessed regularly. Both formative and summative assessments are important tools that help students and teachers track knowledge and identify areas for improvement.

Formative assessment, in particular, plays a crucial role in the learning process because it provides ongoing feedback that guides students toward their learning goals. Feedback is a vital part of teaching—it supports students in understanding their mistakes and how to improve.

In our teaching practice, we focus on providing timely and constructive feedback. I personally often use feedback techniques such as recasts to rephrase students’ errors correctly and encourage students to self-correct or think more deeply, as we find these approaches effective in promoting learning in various situations.

When asked about my role as a teacher in my student’s lives, I believe my primary goal is to help them become positive individuals, especially during their teenage or young adult years. A positive attitude and strong collaboration form the best foundation for learning.

Ultimately positive thinking can lead to better results, and a positive learning environment is essential for growth. When students feel supported and encouraged, nothing can hinder them from reaching their goals. As teachers, I want to create and nurture a positive environment where every student is encouraged to learn and grow.
